Sunday, April 17  PALM SUNDAY
   Triumphal Entry    Matthew 21: 1-11
A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.

Monday, April 18   JESUS IN THE TEMPLE    Mark 11:  12-19
  "Is it not written:  'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.'  But you have made it a den of robbers."

Tuesday, April 19  THE PLOT AGAINST JESUS   Matthew 26: 1-5
  "As you know, the Passover is two days away - and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."  

Wednesday, April 20  JUDAS AGREES TO BETRAY JESUS   Matthew 26: 14-16
   "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?  So they counted out for him thirty silver coins."

Thursday, April 21    THE LORD'S SUPPER  Matthew 26: 17-30
  "I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom."
                                 GETHSEMANE    Matthew 26: 35-46
  "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.  Yet not as I will, but as you will."
                                  JESUS ARRESTED   Matthew 26:  47-56
   "The one I kiss is the man;  arrest him."   Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him.
                                   BEFORE THE SANHEDRIN AND PILATE   Matthew 26: 57-68, 27: 11-26

Friday, April 22         THE SOLDIERS MOCK JESUS     Mark 15: 16-20
    They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him.  And they began to call out to him, "Hail king of the Jews!"
                                  THE CRUCIFIXION    Mark 15: 21-32
  Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying "So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, come down from the cross and save yourself!"
                                   THE DEATH OF JESUS   Mark 15: 33-41
   "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"

Saturday, April 23       GUARD AT THE TOMB   Matthew 27: 62-66
   "Take a guard,"Pilate answered.  "Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how."  So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
