LENT Week 1

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.   John 1:14

Wednesday, March 9   The Baptism of Jesus
           At that moment heaven was opened, and he was the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.

Thursday, March 10  The Temptation of Jesus
           Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan!  For it is written:  'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

Friday, March 11  Jesus Changes Water to Wine
     "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."  This is the first of his miraculous sings, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee.

Saturday, March 12  Jesus Teaches Nicodemus
     In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
