Advent Timeline

Here is the tentative timeline for our Jesse Tree...I will give more details as I have them and update this as a new post.

November 28th, the first day of Advent....we will light the first candle on our Advent Wreath....a purple candle...representing HOPE....the Old Testament hope in the coming of a Messiah and the New Testament hope of Jesus' return to earth
7 days of creation, Genesis 1...We will also begin with our first ornament.....the Earth ornament...and color this picture and place it on top of our #28

November 29th
The Fall of Man, Genesis 3....we will attempt to make an apple and snake out of clay...and color this picture for #27....

November 30th
Noah's Ark, Genesis 6-9...we may just make a rainbow out of card stock...or possibly go all out and make a boat with clouds and a rainbow above and little fish hanging down below...and color this picture for #26

December 1st
Abraham, Genesis 15....the goal is to make a snow globe, but instead of snow, be able to shake it up and see gold and silver shining stars among blue liquid...and color this picture for #25

December 2nd
Isaac, Genesis 22....a Ram ornament...and color this picture for #24

December 3rd
Jacob, Genesis 28 (and so much more)...a Ladder ornament...and color this picture for #23

December 4th
Joseph, Genesis 37 (and so much more)...a coat of many colors ornament...and color this picture for #22








December 5th...the second Sunday in Advent...we will light the second candle....a purple candle...representing PEACE...the only peace that can be found in Jesus

Joshua and the Battle of Jericho, Joshua 6, a ram's horn ornament....color this picture for #19

Gideon, Judges 7...maybe a jar (that hid the light of the soldiers before battle) or hands with water in it...color this picture for #18

December 9th

December 10th
Ruth, The book of Ruth.....a little bunch of wheat/barley tied together for ornament...color this picture for #16

December 11th
Samuel, I Samuel 1-3, 16...color this picture for #15

December 12th...the third Sunday in Advent...we will light the third candle....a pink candle...representing JOY...the joy felt at the coming of Christ
